The U.S. Hispanic and Latin insurance consumer markets offer great potential for businesses looking to increase market share as the world economy recovers from the great recession.

Latin Agents Group Launched in New York

The country’s Hispanic population is growing fast, and that’s created a need for insurance agents who understand the intricacies of serving Latin customers. It’s a need that has prompted a group of agents in New York to launch a new trade group, The Latin Agents and Brokers Association, aimed educating agents on the nuances of selling insurance to Hispanic customers. It’s other goal: to serve as a springboard for Latin agents to ascend the ranks of the insurance industry’s corporate structure, where Hispanic agents are lacking, says founder Elmer Rivera.
